WHAT IS ECO BUNKERS?
With the increasing demand for quality, environmentally friendly fuels, PRIO has developed Eco Bunkers, a blend of 15 per cent advanced biofuel with our high quality marine diesel, the safest and most compatible solution for your fleet.
In this way, taking into account the International Maritime Organisation's (IMO) demanding targets regarding its strategy for reducing greenhouse gases, Eco Bunkers is available on the market for all maritime fleets wishing to reduce their carbon footprint and minimise the negative impact that maritime transport continues to have on our planet.
As well as reducing CO2 emissions by up to 18 per cent, Eco Bunkers can also reduce consumption by up to 10 per cent, without the need for any additional investment or engine modifications. Alongside the biodiesel plant and the tank terminal itself, PRIO controls the entire Eco Bunkers production process, ensuring that it complies with all the parameters required by the ISO 8217 standard, which is specific to marine diesel.
